Wow – when Jan Smulders showed me his idea, I immediately said, I want to sell that! Sinterklaas Music Prediction is a modified version of Julius Frack’s „Music Prediction.“ With Julius Frack’s approval, we were allowed to produce a LIMITED EDITION of this Sinterklaas trick.

Effect:
You show that you’ve received two presents from Sinterklaas: you’ve already unwrapped one (or you unwrap it on the spot) and you place the other in full view. You show your first present, which is a book full of Sinterklaas songs. Each page has a different song, and the pages are all numbered. A spectator can name any page number, and you’ll match it to the song. Imagine you end up with the song „Zie Ginds komt de Stoomboot.“ You could, of course, ask the children to sing the song, but you’re also curious about your second gift. You unwrap it (or have a spectator unwrap it), and it turns out to be a music box. The spectator can now turn the music box, and a tune plays…and believe it or not, it’s the song „Zie Ginds komt de Stoomboot“!

This is a fantastic effect and, of course, wonderful to add to your Sinterklaas performances. The effect is virtually self-acting, and you receive it complete with the book, music box, and online instruction video.

Extra tip: place the music box in a wooden box as a gift. During the performance, place the music box ON the box, which makes the sound much more spacious and amplifies it.
